SPSP Publishing can trace its antecedents back to South Pacific Science Press, which was founded by Jon in 1991 to publish technical and engineering magazines.
The company published, and Jon edited, magazines on aerospace engineering, electronics, computers, surveying and mapping.
Jon's interest in mapping and the history of cartography led him to the story of the first true map of the world, created by Portuguese explorers. He is currently working on The Black Ships, but along the way he got sidetracked and wrote Earl Grey's Daughters.
